RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Finance Advisory Committee (FAC): (1) Receive the final report from the Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee; (2) Dissolve the current Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee; and (3) Form a new Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee for Fiscal Year 2023-2024.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee was established to research, implement, and continue a City Innovation Award Program to encourage employees and/or departments to contribute towards increased efficiency, improved quality of life for Culver City residents, reduced costs and/or generated revenue, or demonstrate distinguished performance based on department goals/outcome measures

On June 12, 2023, the Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee presented the Second Annual Innovation Awards Ceremony, fulfilling its purpose. The ad hoc subcommittee may thus be dissolved after providing a final report to the FAC on its work in Fiscal Year 2022-2023. It is recommended that a new ad hoc subcommittee be formed to carry the program into Fiscal Year 2023-2024.
