Erdelyi & Associates ( Erdelyi) Van Dorpe Chou & Associates ( VCA ) and Hayer Consultants Inc. ( HCI ) for structural plan check services in a total amount not to exceed $60 000. BACKGROUND: Plans for large development projects at 9300 Culver Blvd. (Parcel B) and revisions to the Westfield Fox Hills Mall expansion have recently been submitted to the Building Safety Division. At the present time staff is operating at capacity and is unable to perform the necessary structural plan checks for these new projects in a timely manner. Due to the time sensitivity of the plan check process and to avoid costly and unnecessary delays to the developers staff is requesting authorization to amend existing contracts with professional firms for structural plan check services on an as needed basis.
