A 4/5ths affirmative vote is required to amend the budget. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: The City of Culver City has been awarded grant funding from the 2005 State Homeland Security Grant Program as part of a Federal effort to assist local agencies in obtaining the equipment and training needed to effectively respond to a terrorist incident. This grant will provide funds for the reimbursement of overtime and backfill costs for fire and police training equipment for the Emergency Operations Center and equipment for the public safety radio system upgrade (ICIS).
