Fulwood (04/02/08) Attachments: RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve an amendment to the professional services agreements with Nickerson Company and APD Consultants to support the Public Works Department/Engineering Division for general public works inspection for an aggregate not to exceed amount of $100 000 with the agreements expiring on June 30 2009. BACKGROUND: The Public Works Department/Engineering Division operating budget includes consultant support for general public works inspection. There has been a marked increase in the number of large projects in the private development sector such as Fox Hills Mall renovation/expansion Sony Studios new office buildings and parking structure adjacent to Culver Boulevard and Motor Avenue and Culver Studios expansion. Also there are potential projects such as the Entrada project (subject to pending City Council action) 9900 Culver Boulevard development and other redevelopment projects.
