DISCUSSION

Staff from the Mobility & Traffic Engineering Division will present a proposal to modify the intersections of Elenda Street at Garfield Avenue and Elenda Street at Franklin Avenue to be all-way stop controlled. In addition, a painted crosswalk would be added to the south leg of the intersections of Elenda Street at Franklin Avenue. These enhancements are in alignment with the City’s Safe Routes to School and Vision Zero Policies and the Local Road Safety Plan and Bicycle and Pedestrian Action Plan.

 

 

FISCAL ANALYSIS

Costs associated with these improvements would be paid through the Mobility & Traffic Engineering Division budget.

 

 

MOTION

 

1.                     Receive presentation regarding proposed stop control at the intersections of Elenda Street at Garfield Avenue and Elenda Street at Franklin Avenue; and

2.                     If desired, provide Comments to Mobility & Traffic Engineering staff.
