BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: Section 1500 of the City Charter states in pertinent part: General municipal elections for the filling of all elective offices other than the Board of Education shall be held in the City on the second Tuesday in April in each even numbered year. Section 1503 of the City Charter states: Unless otherwise provided by this Charter all City elections shall be held in accordance with applicable provisions of the then current State law.
