Herbertson (9/28/06) City Controller Approval: Marlee Chang (10/3/06) City Manager Approval: Jerry Fulwood (10/3/06) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends City Council accept the work performed by the contractor KDC Inc. dba Dynalectric (Dynalectric) and authorize filing a Notice of Completion for the Video Surveillance System Integration Gap Closure Project P 804. It is also recommended the City Council approve a budget amendment for this project and that retention funds in the amount of $141 692.00 be released to the contractor. A 4/5ths vote is required to approve the budget amendments. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: On December 31 2001 the City of Culver City and Los Angeles County (MTA) executed a Memorandum of Metropolitan Transportation Authority Understanding (MOU) implementation of the Video Traffic Surveillance System Integration Gap Closure Project. On Monday February 28 2005 the City Council awarded the project to KDC Inc. dba Dynalectric. for funding and The purpose of the Project was to install eleven (11) closed circuit cameras at arterial intersections with high traffic volumes in Culver City.
