Erdelyi & Associates ( Erdelyi ) Van Dorpe Chou & Associates ( VCA ) and Hayer Consultants Inc. ( HCI ) for structural plan check services in a total amount not to exceed $90 000.00. The expense of the contract services will be recouped by the plan check fees collected by the City from the Sony Studios Project based on the fee and charge schedule adopted by the City Council. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: Staff has recently received plans for substantial building projects at Sony Studios (located at 10202 Washington Boulevard) which will require structural review. At the present time several other large projects are underway or about to commence in the City exceeding the capacity of the Building Safety division staff to perform the necessary structural plan checks for the Sony projects.
