The Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC) is presenting this special event to the entire community to review the Los Angeles County's Commission on Human Relations' annual report on Hate Crimes.
This event features a presentation by Marshall Wong, a Senior Intergroup Relations Specialist with the Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations. He has coordinated anti-hate crime activities since 1999 and is the principal author of the agency's annual hate crime report. He also staffs a countywide coalition, the Network Against Hate Crime, and provides training for law enforcement and service providers.
Previously, Mr. Wong held positions with the Smithsonian Institution and the Mayor of Washington, D.C. He was a Fellow in the Kellogg National Leadership Program and was named Social Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers. Marshall received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and his Master of Social Welfare from the University of California at Los Angeles.
