RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Civil Service Commission approve a new promotional recruitment bulletin for Sanitation Roll-Off Driver.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Sanitation Roll-Off Driver position is responsible for collecting refuse (solid waste, mixed recycling and organics) in specialized roll-off vehicles to service roll-off debris boxes and compactors of various sizes. The position may also operate refuse collection equipment assigned to commercial or residential service, and lead and participate in the collection of refuse.
Recruitment Bulletin
We are submitting the proposed recruitment bulletin for approval in consideration of opening a promotional recruitment.
AUTHORITY
The Commission's authority to approve new or revised recruitment bulletins is outlined in the Civil Service Rules (CSR) 6.4:
6.4 Commission Approval: Where an examination is required, the Human Resources Director shall prepare a Job Bulletin and forward it to the Commission for approval. It shall not be necessary to obtain additional Commission approval of a Job Bulletin if there have been no changes in the minimum requirements, or examination components.
