Kimball) (01/21/10) City Attorney Approval: Carol Schwab (01/20/10) City Manager/Executive Director Approval: Mark Scott (01/21/10) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council and Redevelopment Agency Board (1) direct the City Manager/Executive Director to prepare a Request for Proposals for engineering consulting services and (2) authorize the release of said Request for Proposals for the Real Time Motorist Information System ( RTMIS ) project. BACKGROUND: On January 26 2007 staff applied for grant funding for multiple projects through the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority ( Metro ) 2007 Call for Projects. The RTMIS project involves the installation of electronic message boards at the Watseka Cardiff and Ince Parking Structures and the future Washington/National Transit Oriented Development ( TOD ). Electronic message boards will also be installed on Washington and Culver Boulevards.
