Fulwood (05/14/08) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council discuss the issue of creation of two City Council Subcommittees which would have jurisdiction of the subjects of (a) Regional Development and Traffic Mitigation and (b) Regional Oil Operations create two City Council Subcommittees with such jurisdiction (if desired) and appoint Council Members thereto. BACKGROUND: At the City Council meeting of May 12 2008 Councilmember Weissman requested that the issue of formation of a Subcommittee to address regional oil operations be placed on a future agenda. At the City Council meeting of May 13 2008 Mayor Malsin requested that the issue of formation of a Subcommittee to address regional development and traffic mitigation be placed on a future agenda.
