BACKGROUND/ DISCUSSION: In 1999 a Citywide Sewer Video Analysis and Condition Assessment Study (Study) began and for the next four years about 20 miles of sewer line was videotaped and inspected every year. The Study was completed in June 2004. Approximately 85 miles of the City s sewer lines were video inspected. The Study categorized the City s sewer main lines into four groups; A B C and D. Group A represents the highest priority ranking for replacement and Group D represents the lowest. The ranking was based on conditions such as severity of cracks root intrusion offset joints and other variables.
