Nachbar (05/02/12) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council (1) accept the work performed by Eagle Pump Services; and (2) authorize the filing of the Notice of Completion for the Culver City Park Booster Pump Replacement Project P 922. BACKGROUND: On August 22 2011 the City Council awarded a construction contract to Eagle Pump Services to replace the existing irrigation booster pump located in Culver City Park. A booster pump is required for the Park due to the elevation differential between the point of connection to Golden State Water Company s water main in Jefferson Boulevard and the four sports fields located at the upper part of the Park. The piping system connected to the pump provides water to irrigate the upper fields and to restrooms drinking fountains and the snack stand.
