RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council (1) receive an update on the creation of the Housing and Human Services Department ("HHS") including the implementation of the initial phase of the Mobile Crisis Intervention Team; and (2) adopt a resolution approving Salary Schedules related to Miscellaneous Employees under the HHS, effective November 14, 2022.
BACKGROUND
In furtherance of ensuring the well-being and quality of life of all Culver City residents, both housed and unhoused, City Council at its regular meeting on September 19, 2022, approved the creation of a new City department that will focus on housing, homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, and crisis intervention.
