Fulwood (01/17/2007) City Manager Approval: Roland Miranda (01/12/2007) Staff recommends the City Council consider the subject of offering pins or other similar items to former Mayors and Members of the City Council and direct staff as deemed appropriate. BACKGROUND: On October 23 2006 the City Council briefly discussed the desire to further evaluate the concept of providing pins to former Mayors and City Councilmembers. An unofficial transcript of the conversation is attached for the City Council s reference. As directed at that meeting this report provides the City Council with the results of staff s additional research regarding this topic. DISCUSSION: In accordance with the City Council s direction staff performed a two level survey of area cities to ascertain what if any policy those cities had adopted. The first area of survey involved the City s colleague cities of the West Side Cities Council of Governments (COG cities).
