RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission (1) receive and file the PRCS Commission's Fiscal Year 2026-2027 budget recommendations letter to the City Council with amendments, if any; and (2) if desired, authorize the transmittal of the correspondence to the City Manager.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At their December 2, 2025, Regular Meeting, the PRCS Commission reviewed the fiscal year 2025-2026 PRCS budget and began discussions about requests the PRCS Commission would like to send to City Council. At that time, Vice Chair Maggie Peters was approved to draft a letter for the PRCS Commission to review.
The draft letter included the following recommendations:
* Staffing: Regarding full-time staff, the letter recommends funding the following new positions: One Management Analyst, and Two Maintenance Worker I. For part-time staff, the letter recommends providing additional wages for Youth Sports.
