Nachbar (06/03/14) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council consider the current availability of appointments to the Los Angeles International Airport/Community Noise Roundtable (Roundtable) and provide direction to the City Manager regarding such appointments. BACKGROUND: Traditionally the City Clerk s Office advertises for vacancies on the various City Commissions Committees and Boards in April with the City Council considering appointments at the second Regular City Council Meeting in May. Staff was recently made aware of the Roundtable. Article II Mission of the Roundtable s By Laws (By Laws) provides: The Roundtable is an association of local communities Los Angeles World Airports the Federal Aviation Administration and airline industry representatives.
