Fulwood (10/03/07) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve a professional services agreement in an amount not to exceed $15 904.45 to Advanced Industrial Solutions (AIS) for the installation of a ceiling mounted safety fall arrest station in the Welding and Fabrication Shop of the Culver City Transportation Facility. BACKGROUND: The Culver City Transportation Facility is the primary facility for operations provided by the Equipment Maintenance and Fleet Services Division for repair and maintenance of all City vehicles as well as for welding and fabrication operations for all City equipment. In order to maintain a high degree of safety for our Mechanics and Welders the California Office of Safety and Hazards Administration (Cal OSHA) requires fall restraint systems in all areas designated for maintenance of vehicles and equipment that involves moving standing and working on the roofs of this equipment.
