BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: Per the pavement management system Culver Boulevard from Commonwealth Avenue to Elenda Avenue is rated in poor condition and requires new asphalt. The scope of work consists of replacing three inches with new rubberized asphalt. Additionally 4 curb ramps will be removed and replaced to comply with the latest American Disability Act (ADA) requirements. The proposed construction contract award will occur in September 2009. The construction of the project is expected to commence in October 2009 and is slated to be completed before the Thanksgiving Holiday.
