Fulwood (02/08/06) That the City Council adopt the Resolution authorizing the filing of a grant application to the Corporation for National Service for the RSVP program for the three year cycle April 1 2006 March 31 2009. BACKGROUND: The Culver City Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) will begin its 33rd year of successful operation in April 2006. In the past year 509 volunteers provided volunteer work for a wide variety of community agencies and organizations and provided 100 000 hours of volunteer assistance. The RSVP volunteers have been very valuable in assisting our City government our school district municipal courts hospitals etc. by contributing hundreds of thousands of hours to these public services over the years. FISCAL ANALYSIS: This year s proposed budget to the Corporation for National Service is $172 018. The non Federal share amounts to $126 751 with the actual cash contribution from the General Fund amounting to $123 751 and $3 000 donated by the community.
