RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission (1) hear a report from the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission Youth Sports Advisory Ad Hoc Subcommittee; and, (2) (If Desired) discuss and take action regarding the future of the Youth Sports Advisory Ad Hoc Subcommittee.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the September 2, 2014 Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission meeting, the Commission formed the Youth Sports Advisory Ad Hoc Subcommittee and appointed Vice Chair Zeidman and Commissioner Garland as members. The purpose of the Youth Sports Advisory Ad Hoc Subcommittee is to "investigate the feasibility and methods of offering more youth sports programs in Culver City." The members of the Ad Hoc Subcommittee have met with the PRCS Director to discuss youth sports opportunities and have provided a report regarding the establishment of a Culver City Youth Flag Football League (Attachment).
