BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: On December 5 2011 the City Council awarded a construction contract to Hoffman Management and Construction Corp. (Hoffman) to reconstruct the existing exterior staircase at Fire Station #1 located at 9600 Culver Boulevard. The reconstruction of the exterior staircase which consisted of the removal of the existing staircase fabrication and installation of a new steel staircase waterproofing and the repair of the exterior building wall s wood framing was completed on May 11 2012.
