RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council (1) approve the award of a construction contract to STL Landscaping, Inc., as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, in the amount of $197,200, for the construction of the Transfer Station Rain Garden Project, Phase II, PZ-948, and On-Site Drainage Repair; and (2) authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer to approve Change Orders, for an amount not-to-exceed $19,700, if necessary, for construction.


BACKGROUND

On September 11, 2017, City Council approved the final plans and specifications and authorized publication of a notice of inviting bids for the Transfer Station Rain Garden Project, Phase II, PZ-948.

The Public Works Environmental Programs & Operations Transfer Station Facility (Facility) functions as a transfer facility for recyclables, municipal solid waste, and organics waste collected locally from residential, commercial, and industrial properties within Culver City and portions of the City of Los Angeles.
