RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council approve an amendment to the general services agreement with Trueline Construction & Surfacing, Inc. to increase the maximum compensation amount by $50,894, for a total not-to-exceed amount of $315,511 to support the expansion of the scope of services, including the resurfacing and repairs to multiple City park outdoor sports courts.


BACKGROUND

The Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Department oversees multiple parks with outdoor sports courts, including basketball, tennis, paddle tennis, and ball walls. These courts are highly used and require repairs to cracks, uneven payment, painted services, and lines. This project initially listed the following courts for resurfacing to provide safe, and playable surfaces.

* Culver West Alexander Park: 1 tennis court, 2 paddle tennis courts, 3 hand ball courts
* Culver City Park: 1 basketball court
* Fox Hills Park: 1.5 basketball courts, 3 tennis courts, 4 paddle tennis courts
* Lindberg Park: 1 tennis court
* Syd Kronenthal Park: 1 basketball court, 1 tennis court, 2 paddle tennis courts
