Baker) (11/11/09) City Manager Approval: Mark Scott (11/11/09) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council designate a Councilmember as Culver City s nominee to represent the Ballona Creek Watershed Cities as a Voting Member on the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Commission. BACKGROUND: In 2008 a West Hollywood Councilmember who was currently serving as the Ballona Creek Watershed cities representative on the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Commission Governing Board became unable to finish his term. At that time a Culver City Councilmember was the West Hollywood Councilmember s Alternate. With the change in City Councilmembers in Culver City an opportunity arose for a Culver City Councilmember to serve as a Governing Board Member. Since 2008 Councilmember O Leary has represented the Ballona Creek Watershed cities with a City of Beverly Hills Councilmember as his Alternate. A City of Santa Monica Councilmember serves as a Voting Member in an At Large capacity.
