RECOMMENDATION

Staff will provide an update on the Final Draft of the Complete Streets Design Standards and recent community engagement events. Committee members will have an opportunity to ask questions, discuss, and provide staff with final input.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

On March 10, 2025, the City published the Final Draft of the Complete Streets Design Standards for public review and comment. The Final Draft can be accessed on the project's web page at culvercity.org/completestreets.

In tandem with the release of the Final Draft, staff hosted Community Open Houses on March 12 and 19, 2025, a Walking Tour on March 29, 2025, and will be hosting a second Walking Tour on April 5, 2025. At the Community Open Houses, members of the public learned more about the City's street classifications (also known as Functional Classifications); the design elements associated with them; and had the opportunity to provide feedback to City staff.
