Nachbar (07/23/14) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve the final plans and specifications and authorize the publication of a notice inviting bids for the 2014 Street Paving Program PZ 863. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: Per the pavement management system recommendation and visual observation staff has selected streets to be re paved with new asphalt. The scope of work generally consists of replacing two inches of deteriorated asphalt concrete with new rubberized asphalt concrete. Additionally curb and gutter will be replaced where necessary and handicap ramps will be replaced or upgraded as required by the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).
