RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Mobility Subcommittee receive a presentation from staff, discuss, and approve the intersection of Ince Blvd and Krueger St for All-Way Stop control.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Subcommittee will receive a presentation from staff, discuss, and potentially approve the intersection of Ince Blvd and Krueger St is for All-Way Stop control.
On September 20, 2024, the City received a request for Speed Reduction measures to be implemented on Ince Boulevard, between Washington Blvd and Lucerne Ave. Pursuant to the City's Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP), traffic data was collected on Ince Blvd, between Krueger St and Carson St in October 2024 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, pursuant to California MUTCD Chapter 2B.07 Multi-Way Stop Applications.
City staff reviewed the data as a part of an engineering study and considered the following:
* Vehicle speeds and volumes entering the intersection from the major street (Ince Blvd).
* Vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle volumes entering the intersection from the minor street (Krueger St).
