RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council receive an overview presentation on the Fiscal
Years 2008-09 & 2009-10 Proposed Budget from the Police Department and Fire
Department.
DISCUSSION:
This first budget study session of the Fiscal Years 2008-09 and 2009-10 Proposed
Budget occurred on May 5
th
. The Chief Financial Officer gave a presentation to City
Council which included a discussion of current economic conditions and provided
financial highlights for the City’s major funds. There were also presentations given for
the City Manager’s Office, the City Clerk’s Office and Risk Management. This evening
the Police Department and Fire Department will provide presentations of their budget
proposals.
MOTION:
That the City Council:
Receive a presentation from the Police Department and Fire Department.
