RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission receive and file the report from the Senior & Social Services and Facilities Division of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department regarding the Veterans Memorial Complex (VMC).
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The PRCS Director has scheduled this report to the Commission as an informational item. The report will be presented as a slide show (Attachment 1) followed by a question-and-answer period. This evening's report will be presented by Senior & Social Services/Facilities Manager Armando Abrego and Special Events Coordinator Susan Obrow. Abbreviations used in this report include "VMB" which refers to the "Veterans Memorial Building," and "VMC" which refers to the "Veterans Memorial Complex." The Veterans Memorial Complex consists of the Veterans Memorial Building, the Teen Center and the Senior Center. There are rental spaces available to the public in each of these three facilities.
