BACKGROUND: The Culver City Municipal Code (CCMC) 9.10.055 Section A prohibits animals within any City public park unless a special permit has been obtained from City Council. The special permit allows animals for the purposes of conducting entertainment or exhibitions. Attachment 1 provides a copy of CCMC 9.10.055 Section A. In order to host any animal show or exhibit a special permit must be approved by City Council. DISCUSSION: The Parks Recreation and Community Services Department hosts an animal show for the 120 day camp participants participating in the Just 4 Kids Day Camp.
