Fulwood (11/08/2006) Staff recommends the City Council approve a budget amendment to record revenue and the appropriation of $123 000 in 2005 Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant funds for the Culver West Alexander Park Rehabilitation Project (P 835). A four fifths affirmative vote is required to amend the budget. BACKGROUND: The City Council adopted a resolution to approve the application for the 2005 Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant for the Culver West Alexander Park Rehabilitation Project (P 835) at the April 18 2005 meeting (Attachment 1). The Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant Program administered by the State of California Department of Parks and Recreation provides resources for acquisition or development of neighborhood community and regional parks with emphasis on encouraging people to enjoy outdoor recreational activities. The LWCF is a federally funded competitive grant program.
