Fulwood (02/08/06) Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution ordering the vacation of the subject twenty (20) foot wide by approximately one hundred fifteen (115) foot long alley and divide the interest equally among the two property owners adjacent to the subject alley per Exhibit A. PROCEDURE: 1. Open the public hearing. 2. Request Staff to provide a brief report describing the vacation in question. 3. Ask the City Clerk to present any items received on this subject before the public hearing. 4. Allow all members of the public to address the City Council. 5. Close the public hearing. 6. Discussion. 7. If the City Council finds staff s recommendation acceptable adopt a Resolution Ordering the vacation of the alley as shown in Exhibit A. BACKGROUND: A request to vacate the subject alley was received in October 2005 from Kristen duCharme and Sukru Boztepe the property owners west of the alley in question. This initiated staff to review and evaluate the request. On October 26 2005 staff met on site with both adjacent property owners of the subject alley vacation discussing the possible terms of the alley vacation.
