Chief Financial Officer Approval: N/A City Manager Approval: N/A City Attorney Approval: N/A Attachments: RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Parks Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission hold a discussion with the City Manager Mr. John Nachbar and receive and file the report. BACKGROUND: Mr. John Nachbar City Manager of the City of Culver City was formally introduced to the members of the Parks Recreation and Community Services Commission at the September 7 2010 Commission meeting. At that time a discussion between the Commission and the City Manager took place which included various topics such as the Commission s duties and the Commission and staff and the Commission and the City Council and potential ways to improve such communications. During the course of the meeting the Commission requested that the City Manager meet with the Commission s Council/Commission Subcommittee and invited him to come back before the full Commission for further discussion. The City Manager agreed to meet with the Council/Commission Subcommittee and accepted the Commission s invitation to attend a future Commission meeting. DISCUSSION: This agenda item has been prepared to give the PRCS Commission and the City Manager an opportunity to hold another discussion at an open meeting as previously agreed upon by all parties.
