City of Culver City, California City Council Agenda Item Report RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council discuss the Agenda Item Pending List and the Tentative Agendas and direct staff as deemed appropriate. BACKGROUND The City utilizes a excel spreadsheet to track items on tentative future City Council agendas. This overall list is commonly known as the Agenda Item Pending List. Further, based upon items on the Agenda Item Pending List, individual tentative agendas are created for each future City Council meeting date. DISCUSSION: The Agenda Item Pending List and the Tentative agendas are used to help plan future City Council meetings. In planning these meetings, staff attempts to place items on agendas which yield an estimated meeting ending time of between 10:30 PM and 11:00 PM. While staff strives to keep items on the agenda they were originally scheduled, many factors can impact the final placement of an agenda for consideration by the City Council. Some of these factors are: • City Council direction for placement of an item on a specific agenda • The need for outside agency approval (such as the State of California) prior to consideration by the City Council The purpose of this evening’s discussion is to provide the City Council with an opportunity to provide staff with direction on specific items on the Pending List and Meeting Date: 03/26/07 Item Number: A-3 AGENDA ITEM: Discussion of the Agenda Item Pending List and the Tentative Agendas.
