Fulwood (01/03/07) City Attorney Approval Heather Iker (01/03/07) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve the final plans and specifications and authorize advertising for bids for the Carson Street Sewer Improvement Project P 860. BACKGROUND: In 2004 the four year long Citywide Sewer Video Analysis and Condition Assessment Study was completed. The Condition Assessment Study categorized the City s sewer main lines into four groups; A B C and D. Group A represents the highest priority for sewer main replacement and Group D represents the lowest priority for sewer main replacement. Carson Street sewer main is in Group A. The existing 6 inch diameter Vitrified Clay Pipe (VCP) sewer main on Carson Street requires replacement and upgrading to the City s minimum standard diameter (8 inch) pipe for sewer main lines. DISCUSSION: This fiscal year s adopted Capital Improvement Budget includes the Carson Street (Street and Sewer Improvement Project) P 860.
