RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission (1) consider making a recommendation to the City Council regarding adoption of a resolution naming Ball Field #3 in Bill Botts Field within Culver City Park in honor of former Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission Chair Rick Hudson; and (2) if a recommendation in support of the naming is made, consider making one or more recommendations regarding the related commemorative signage.
BACKGROUND
On August 9, 2014, PRCS Commission Chair Rick Hudson passed away unexpectedly at the age of 61, while at his family's ranch in New Mexico. In addition to being the successful owner of Culver Glass, Chair Hudson was a tireless advocate for the young people of Culver City.
