Nachbar (03/23/11) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve the final plans and specifications and authorize the publication of a notice inviting bids for the Bristol Sewer Pump Station Site Improvements Project P 521 BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: The Bristol Sewer Pump Station (Bristol Pump Station) is located at 6399 Bristol Parkway. The Bristol Pumps Station was constructed in 1968 and pumps approximately 300 000 gallons of sewage a day to the City of Los Angeles North Central Outfall Sewer. The existing site has deteriorated asphalt paving and chain link fencing and gate. The chain link fence is original and the asphalt paving appears to be about 20 years old. The Bristol Pump Station site is proposed to be improved with new concrete pavement a storm drainage system a seven feet high perimeter block wall a new steel sliding gate a secondary force main and a new sewer bypass pumping system.
