Fulwood (05/04/06) Mayor Silbiger in his role as Council appointed Director to the Exposition Metro Line Construction Authority requests the City Council consider appointments to the Urban Design Committee (Committee) of the Exposition Metro Line Construction Authority (Authority). BACKGROUND: On March 31 2006 the Authority received and filed a recommendation from the Authority s Chief Executive Officer entitled Implementation of Urban Design Committee and Nomination Process. Pursuant to the process outlined in that recommendation each Director was requested to submit two nominees for the Committee. DISCUSSION: Mayor Silbiger as the Council appointed Director to the Authority has considered the following two nominees to the Committee: Mr. Jim Berland and Mr. Kevin Klowden. While the attachment references an April 21 2006 deadline for submission of the nominees names Mayor Silbiger has consulted with the Authority CEO who replied there is still time for the nominations to be made.
