Fulwood (03/04/09) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council accept the work performed by the contractor FS Construction and authorize filing a Notice of Completion for the Lindberg Park Stone Building Courtyard Improvements P 132. BACKGROUND: The Lindberg Park stone building and courtyard (located at 5041 Rhoda Way) is used by the City s Parks Recreation and Community Services Department for afterschool programs and as a community rental facility. It is also leased by La Playa Cooperative Nursery School for a morning preschool. On January 28 2008 the City Council awarded a construction contract to FS Construction in the amount of $116 950. The scope of work for the courtyard improvements which has now been completed by FS Construction includes the removal of the existing turf and concrete walkways the construction of minor drainage structures and landscaping and the placement of concrete surface within most of the courtyard.
