RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the MLK Jr. Celebration and Juneteenth Celebration Advisory Committee (Advisory Committee) selects the Chair and Vice Chair of the Advisory Committee for the 2026-2027 term.

Selection of the Chair and Vice Chair
At the first meeting at the beginning of the fiscal year, the Advisory Committee selects a Chair and Vice Chair. The Advisory Committee has not adopted a formal policy for the selection of the Chair and Vice Chair. As a result, the election of the Chair and Vice Chair is conducted at the discretion of the Advisory Committee Member.
Below is each Committee Member’s seat number with their associated term:
Seat Number 1: Karena Bibbins-McKeever - First full-term of three years expires June 30, 2027
Seat Number 2: Lisa Gordon Cain - First full-term of three years expires on June 30, 2027.
Seat Number 3: Curtis Raynor - First full-term of three years expires June 30, 2027
