RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration & Juneteenth Celebration Advisory Committee receive and file an update from the members of the Sponsorship/Donation Ad Hoc Subcommittees.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Sponsorship/Donation Ad Hoc Subcommittee for Martin Luther King Jr. and Juneteenth Celebrations was established on October 16, 2024. The subcommittee's primary role is to support the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services staff by identifying potential sponsorship and donation opportunities for these community events. This report serves as an update from the subcommittee members on their progress and recommendations.
MCJC Advisory Committee Ad Hoc Subcommittees
An "ad hoc" subcommittee serves only a limited or single purpose. It is not perpetual, and it is dissolved when its specific task is completed. An Ad Hoc Subcommittee may be formed or dissolved at any Advisory committee meeting, as long as the discussion has been placed on the agenda in advance.
