PROCLAMATION
FIESTA LA BALLONA
WHEREAS the City of Culver City takes great pride in the full quality of life enjoyed by all of its residents and
enthusiastically supports events that enhance the strong sense of community that is characteristic of the City and
WHEREAS each year the Culver City community celebrates its heritage through the Fiesta La Ballona event and
WHEREAS this year marks the 55 h anniversary of the Fiesta La Ballona event which provides a wide range of fun and
memorable activities for residents of all ages to enjoy and
WHEREAS the Culver City Parks Recreation and Community Services Department in partnership with members of the
Fiesta La Ballona Committee and other City Departments meets throughout the year in preparation for this event The event is a
celebration to inspire and promote tolerance understanding goodwill and better relations among all people and to encourage
individuals to practice living in harmony with people from multi cultural ongins
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED
that the City Council of the City of Culver City hereby proclaims Monday
August 22 rd through Sunday August 28 th as Fiesta La Ballona Week and encourages all residents as well as their friends and
families to participate and share in the many activities planned for this special week
