RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve an amendment to the existing general services agreement with West Coast Arborists, Inc. for citywide tree maintenance services to increase the annual not-to-exceed Amount for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 by $175,000 for a total annual not-to-exceed amount of $1,315,695 and (2) approve a related budget amendment to increase funding for tree maintenance contract services by appropriating $175,000 from the Unassigned General Fund Balance in Fiscal Year 2023-2024 (four-fifths vote required).
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
On September 19, 2022, the City Council approved a five-year general services agreement with West Coast Arborists, Inc. to provide citywide tree maintenance services. The contract establishes the annual not-to-exceed amount for each of year of the agreement. For Fiscal Year 2023-2024, the not-to-exceed amount is $1,140,695.
