RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC) consider moving the regular meetings from the fourth Tuesday of the month to the first or third Tuesday of the month.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

At the July 25, 2023, regular meeting of the EHRAC, Member Rona obtained consensus for the Committee to agendize and consider the possible movement of the EHRAC regular meetings from the fourth Tuesday of the month to either the first or third Tuesday of the month.

If a majority of the EHRAC desires to move the meetings to the first or third Tuesday of the month, it would be important that the meeting date does not conflict with other Commission, Board or Committee Meetings in the City. Additionally, the EHRAC Bylaws would need to be updated and subsequently approved by City Council. The updated Bylaws would be approved by the EHRAC at a future EHRAC meeting, and then the approval placed on a future City Council agenda.
