On July 28 2006 2416 public notification cards were mailed to property owners residents and business owners within the area bounded by Washington Boulevard to the north and west Robertson Boulevard Higuera Street to the south and the City boundary Sentney Avenue to the east. City of Culver City California City Council Agenda Item Report BACKGROUND: On March 20 2006 the City Council approved a motion to hear an informational report on the fatality of a school teacher and injury of several students of Turning Point School. The accident occurred on the sidewalk adjacent to northbound National Boulevard between Hayden Avenue and the easterly city boundary. Staff stated at that time that a comprehensive report of traffic conditions on National Boulevard would be presented to the City Council at a later date. This is that report. DISCUSSION: Existing Roadway Conditions: According to the Circulation Element adopted by the City Council on May 24 2004 National Boulevard is a Secondary Artery within Culver City s boundaries.
