Fulwood (08/23/2006) Staff recommends that the City Council extend the contracts with Max Paetzold and Barry Kurtz in an aggregate not to exceed amount of $60 000 to support the Traffic Engineering section of the Engineering Division for regional and local development projects. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: On November 28 2005 the City Council approved awarding contracts with Max Paetzold and Barry Kurtz in an aggregate not to exceed amount of $60 000 to provide traffic engineering support to development and regional transportation projects. In addition the City Council authorized the Public Works Director/City Engineer to extend the contract an additional $30 000 based upon continued satisfactory performances. The contract costs with the extensions will soon be exhausted. The reorganization of the traffic engineering section has been successful.
