Most provisions of the Charter shall be effective on the later of July 1 2006 or the date it is accepted and filed by the Secretary of State (Article XX 2000). For your convenience a copy of the revised Charter is attached to this memo. The City Attorney s Office will take the lead in implementing the revised Charter by reviewing and revising the current Municipal Code drafting ordinances and resolutions and reviewing and revising existing Council and Administrative policies to make City documents consistent with the revised Charter.
