WHEREAS, Antonio Barbosa, Wayne Ito and Evan Williams, mechanics for the Equipment Maintenance & Fleet
Services Division of the Culver City Transportation Department have a combined total of 22 years of providing safe, efficient
equipment maintenance services to the City of Culver City; and
WHEREAS, the Culver City Transportation Department participated in a challenging competition at the second combined
Culver CityBus and Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus Westside Roadeo, held in Santa Monica, California on August 13, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Barbosa, Mr. Ito and Mr. Williams exhibited outstanding mechanical knowledge and technical skills in
the course of the competition, being awarded First Place; and
WHEREAS, these Maintenance Roadeo Champions represented Culver City at the Southern California Regional Bus
Roadeo in Orange, California on September 10, 2005;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Culver City, California, hereby commends
Antonio Barbosa, Wayne Ito, and Evan Williams, for their exceptional technical performance while representing Culver City in the
Second Westside Roadeo.
